Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills. They report directly to Parliament and are independent and impartial. They inspect and regulate services, which care for children and young people, and those providing education and skills for learners of all ages.
The school underwent an inspection by Ofsted in May 2019. The School was deemed as a GOOD school in all areas.
Some of the key points were:
• Senior and middle leaders are effective in their roles.
• Teachers have good subject knowledge. They use questions effectively to encourage pupils to reflect on, and explain their learning.
• The high standard of work in pupils English, phonics and mathematics books reflects their positive attitudes to learning.
• Leaders and staff promote the pupils spiritual, moral, social and cultural development effectively, through the well-designed curriculum. This is a strength of the school.
